As you progress to guitar grade 2, you continue sight reading 4–6 bar single-line pieces in 1st position. The time and key signatures will remain the same as they were in Grade one, except for the addition of D minor. You will occasionally encounter staccato and dotted notes.

- Take 30 seconds to look over the exercise before you attempt to sight read it
- Once you've started, keep going no matter what – learning not to stop even when you make a mistake is one of the most important skills in guitar sight reading
