Artiden: a blog about the musician lifestyle

The blog Artiden is currently running a giveaway on SightReadingMastery. One lucky pianist or piano teacher will get an SRM “Re” account free for life! 🙂

The purpose of this post is to document notes and clarifications about the giveaway as questions arise…

Free trial length

Artiden is offering a whopping 5 bonus entries into the giveaway for anyone who signs up for a free trial of SightReadingMastery.

This is wonderful! The only issue is the SightReadingMastery provides a 7-day free trial, but as of this writing (Dec 13, 2012), the end of the giveaway is more than 7 days away.

It begs the question: “If I sign up for a free trial today, will I have to start paying for SightReadingMastery before I find out if I’m the winner of the giveaway?”

The answer is no. To address this issue, I’m extending all free trials through Dec 28, three days after the giveaway ends.

This means you can sign up for a free trial to claim 5 bonus entries, and in the event that you don’t win, still have plenty of time to cancel if you don’t want to pay for SightReadingMastery.

It also means that if you act now, you can get a crazy long free trial. Signing up today (Dec 13), for example, will get you a 15-day free trial! (Note: Everyone will still get at least 7 days, but the people who sign up sooner will get extra.)

Questions?

Do you have SRM-related questions about the giveaway? Please let me know and I’ll try to address them in this post.
