Grade 2 requires singers to "take a leap," literally. In grade 1, all intervals were stepwise. Grade 2 introduces rising major and minor 3rds. It also adds triple time (3/4) and another key signature, but otherwise the exercises are similar to those in grade 1.

Tips for Grade 2 Sight Singing
- Get situated where you can see the exercise while maintaining good singing posture (an iPad or tablet is especially convenient for this, as you can set it right on your music stand; print this page if needed)
- Use the bass/treble clef toggle if you need to change clefs; then press the "Starting Note" button to find your pitch and take 30 seconds to look over the exercise.
- Once you've started, keep going no matter what – learning not to stop even when you make a mistake is one of the most important skills in sight singing
