In grade 4 piano, you will encounter pieces which are about eight bars in length, with key and time signatures like in grade 3. However, 6/8 will be added to the possible time signatures. You may also come across occasional chromatic notes, anacrusis, tenuto and pause signs.

Tips for Grade 4 Piano Sight Reading
- Get situated where you can comfortably see the piece from your piano or keyboard (an iPad or other tablet is especially convenient for this, as you can set it right on your piano's music stand; print this page if needed)
